Die Europäische Kommission lädt Unternehmensgründerinnen dazu ein, sich noch bis zum 20. Oktober für den „EU Prize For Women Innovators 2015“ zu bewerben. Mit dem Preis sollen Unternehmerinnen in Europa sichtbarer gemacht werden, die erfolgreich ihre innovativen Ideen auf den Markt gebracht haben. Voraussetzung ist, dass die Bewerberin oder das verbundene Unternehmen bereits EU-Fördermittel erhalten hat oder aktuell gefördert wird. 2014 gewann die Humangenetikerin Saskia Biskup den Preis. Insgesamt wird er im Frühjahr 2016 zum dritten Mal vergeben.
