To create real impact and scale innovative ideas, strong partners and funding are often essential — and investors play a key role in this journey. But what exactly makes an idea attractive to them, and how do they decide where to invest their time and money?

In this interactive workshop, you will gain a rare inside perspective into the mindset of investors. What do they expect in a pitch? Which numbers, signals, and indicators carry the most weight? And how do they distinguish between promising ideas and risky assumptions?

Frank Petry — serial entrepreneur and experienced business angel — will share practical insights from his own investment experience. He will explain how investors evaluate startups and research-based ventures, what makes a strong founding team in their eyes, and how market potential and scalability are assessed in early-stage ideas.

Beyond theory, you will receive actionable tips on how to improve your own pitch and present your idea in a more investor-relevant way. This includes refining your storytelling, structuring your argument more clearly, and highlighting the signals investors actually care about.

The session will also include plenty of time for questions, giving you the opportunity to discuss your own ideas, challenges, or startup concepts directly with an experienced investor.
